Im Alter von vier Jahren das erste Mal ein Akkordeon in der Hand ließ Grischek es jedoch für ein paar Jahre wieder los um klassischer Trompeter zu werden. 1990 gründete Grischek die Hamburger Kultfolkband„The Roving Bottles“ und hatte seine 120-Bass-Quetschkommode, zwei Trompeten, eine Tuba, sein Klavier, eine Querflöte und mehrere irische Flöten, sogenannte „Tinwhistles“ im Gepäck, brachte mit dieser Gruppe große Konzertsäle zum kochen und insgesamt drei CDs heraus. 1996 gewann er mit der Kabarettistin Käthe Lachmann den NDR Comedy Preis. Zusammen gingen die beiden im folgenden Jahr mit Götz Alsmann, Atze Schröder und dem blonden Emil auf Tournee.Es folgten 8 Jahre regelmäßige Tourneen und Auftritte mit Käthe Lachmann. Intensive Zusammenarbeit folgte ab 2002 dann mit Henning Venske, mit dem Grischek bis heute regelmäßig Auftritte bestreitet. Im Herbst 2007 kam Jochen Busse für die folgenden 4 Jahre hinzu. In dieser Zeit entstanden 2 gemeinsame Programme mit über 350 Vorstellungen.
