Friedrich Ani, Jahrgang 1959, arbeitete als Reporter, bevor er sich als Autor ganz dem Schreiben widmete Er schreibt Romane, Kinderbücher, Gedichte, Hörspiele, Drehbücher und Kurzgeschichten. Seine Bücher wurden in mehrere Sprachen übersetzt und vielfach ausgezeichnet, so u.a. mit dem Tukan-Preis für das beste Buch des Jahres der Stadt München. Als bisher einziger Autor erhielt Ani den Deutschen Krimipreis in einem Jahr für drei „Süden“-Titel gleichzeitig. 2010 folgte der Adolf-Grimme-Preis für das Drehbuch nach seinem Roman "Süden und der Luftgitarrist". 2011 erschien erstmals ein Roman mit der Kultfigur Tabor Süden im Hardcover: "Süden". Friedrich Ani lebt in München.
