From the International Airport airport "Lviv" them Danulo Galician, International Airport Kisangani DR Congo cargo plane made a flight of AN-124-100 "Ruslan", which brought 18 soldiers to separate helicopter detachment of the UN mission to stabilize the aircraft and property, which is necessary to perform tasks. As commander of the 18th separate helicopter detachment, pilot-sniper Colonel Vladimir Kolotylo from Ukraine to DR Congo was delivered four helicopters - two attack helicopters Mi-24P and two Mi-8MT, aviation assets, various units and parts for military equipment and other property necessary for the maintenance of life and Ukrainian peacekeepers fulfill their assigned mission in the African country. According to the deputy commander of the helicopter unit of the engineering and aviation service lt.colonel Nikolai Mykolyuk, these days there was a planned rotation of helicopters Ukrainian national contingent. - Detachment is appropriate records of rotary-wing machines, and the life of which in terms of the African equatorial climate is nearing completion, sent to Ukraine to perform maintenance. To replace them, coming to Africa aviation equipment, which took a full range of routine maintenance, - said the officer. Deputy Commander of Helicopter Squadron engineering and aviation service lt.colonel Nikolai Mykolyuk also said that in the DR Congo, helicopters will make again and after testing of the systems, units and assemblies will be made overflight of aircraft, its certified used vehicles and then type in the array.
