| Description |
English: Corpus Christi Procession in a Münsterland village, Westfalia, NRW, Germany. One of four outside benedictions of the blessed sacrament is given here. The decoration is made of birches and flags and the stars on the street are made of iris leaves
Near the altar are peony and goat's beard put in milk churns, a "phenomenon" or "tradition" which bases on the fact, that people in rural areas usually had not many and not huge vases in former times.
Deutsch: Segensaltar bei einer Fronleichnamsprozession im Münsterland. Birken, Blumen, Blasmusik, die Kombination Pfingstrose mit Geißbart wird in Ermangelung von ausreichend Blumenvasen in geeigneter Größe traditionell ganz pragmatisch in eine Milchkanne gestellt. |
