A “Halcones Negros” paratrooper descend from the sky flying the colors of the United States, during the opening ceremony for Fuerzas Comando 2014 at Fort Tolemaida, Colombia July 23. Fuerzas Comando, established in 2004, is an U.S. Southern Command-sponsored special operation skills competition and fellowship program. This event is aimed at enhancing training and strengthening regional and multinational cooperation, mutual trust, readiness, and interoperability of special operations forces in the region.
