Description
English: Funeral of Canadian volunteers killed at Ridgeway in the Fenian Invasion (St. James cemetery, Toronto). This wood engraving (coloured with watercolour and gouache) appeared in the Illustrated London News 30 June 1866 (v. 48, no. 1377/8) p. 629, bottom.
Français : Office funèbre des volontaires canadiens tués lors de la bataille Ridgeway lors des raids fenian, se déroulant au cimetière St. James à Toronto. Cette gravure sur bois ici colorisée à l’aide d’aquarelle et de gouache a été publiée dans le journal Illustrated London Gazette le 30 juin 1866 (vol. 18, no 1377/8) au bas de la page 629.
