GLO-012E43 Trumpet Brooch
Description
English: Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch. On the reverse of the head is a rearward facing perforated lug that holds the spring support bar. The spring is made from four curls, the pin is missing. On the top of the head is the base of a truncated loop. There is a moulded knee halfway down the bow which consists of a transverse band with recessed sides. There is a perpendicular loop above and below that band, the upper loop is truncated. Small globular foot at that base the catch plate on the reverse is complete. Date 75-175AD
