GLO-08A28B Medieval Buckle
Description
English: ~~Copper alloy spur buckle with integral plate that ends in a truncated hook. The plate is a long and narrow rectangle that has a slightly expanded terminal with a pointed top that would have formed the base of the truncated hook, there are two rivet holes on the plate both are encrusted with iron corrosion which is all the remains of the rivets. On the opposite end of the plate to the hook is an oval buckle with a hole at the base to accommodate the pin, remains of the iron pin are still present in the hole and the forward edge of the buckle.

Traces of gilding are visible on the top of the plate.
