Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Populasi gajah Sumatera di Provinsi Bengkulu semakin mengkhawatirkan. Estimasi populasi hanya mencapai 50 ekor yang terfragmentasi di beberapa kawasan hutan.

Dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun sebelumnya, tercatat ada 16 ekor gajah di Bengkulu yang ditemukan mati. Catatan ini kemudian bertambah lagi pada 2018-2021, tiga ekor gajah ditemukan mati.

Penyelamatan populasi gajah Sumatera dan perlindungan habitatnya menjadi hal mutlak yang mesti disegerakan. Butuh komitmen bersama dan dukungan banyak pihak untuk mewujudkan ini.
