English: Extract from the data slides released at the UK Government press conference on September 30, 2020 as presented by the Prime Minister and the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty.
This slide shows the geographical spread of the 'second wave' in England. The left-hand map show the distribution of the total rate of lab-confirmed COVID-19 infections, in week-ending September 23, 2020; while the right-hand map shows the change in rate of that week, when compared the the immediately preceding week. It can be seen that, at this stage of the pandemic, there is a clear regional variation to the second wave of cases. |
