Sweti Michael Twereli church at the hill flance of Mtatsminda Die russische St. Michael Twereli Kirche, die aus den Jahren 1911-1913 datiert, ist auf dem Mtatsminda Bergfuß, in der S. Saldasstanischwili Strasse errichtet. Die Aufbauidee der Kirche gehört zum Michael Romanov - zu dem Großfürst Rußlands. Die Kirche wurde im Auftrag vom Ilarion Worontsow-Daschkow- der Statthalter des Kaukasus und von seiner Frau gebaut.
Alle drei silberfarbigen Kuppel der Kirche sind nach russischen Architekturtraditionen „zwiebelförmig“. Ebenso nach russischen Regeln ist das Gebäude mit weißem Stuck beworfen, wodurch es sich stark auszeichnet. |
