Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Sedikit gambaran umum tentang pohon pinus, ia termasuk pohon yang rindang dan mempunyai banyak manfaat buat manusia sebagai obat. Pohon ini banyak dijumpai di daerah yang berbukit dan pegunungan, sekarang ini sudah bisa ditanam sebagai pohon industri. Pohon kayu yang satu ini biasa kita lihat di daerah pegunungan ternyata menghasilkan manfaat getah dan kayu pohon pinus yang memiliki banyak kegunaan di masyarakat. Hasil dari getah pinus itu bisa menghasilkan minyak terpenting yang mengandung senyawa terpene yakni salah satu isomerhidrokarbon tak jenuh dari C10H163 terutama monoterpence alfa-pinene dan beta-pinene, terpenting biasanya digunakan sebagai pelarut untuk mengencerkan cat minyak sebagai bahan campuran vernis yang biasa kita gunakan untuk mengkilapkan permukaan kayu dan bisa untuk bahan baku kimia lainnya.
