Description
English: This images shows thin beds of the Gilman Conglomerate exposed in the hills behind Gilman, New Mexico, USA. The Gilman Conglomerate is presumably Oligocene based on the ages of the youngest clasts in the conglomerate. It is sometimes regarded as a member of the Abiquiu Formation, but may have had its origin in a now-buried Oligocene vent in the southern Jemez or northern Santo Domingo Basin.
