Deutsch: "Email auf Kupfer, weißes Contre-Email. James (Joseph, Giuseppe) Macpherson zugeschrieben. · Gehört zu einer Gruppe von Porträts, das die Eltern und die sechs ältesten Kinder umfasst. Die Miniaturen sind nach Gemälden von Anton R. Mengs ausgeführt worden. Vgl. Gemälde von Maria Theresia von Anton Raphael Mengs im Prado in Madrid (1771). · Mädchenbildnis: halbe Figur, halb links; in der Linken eine Rose haltend." [1] "Seit dem Bestandskatalog der Miniaturensammlung von 1905 wird das Bildnis fälschlich als Porträt der Erzherzogin Maria Anna (1770-1809) geführt. Wie der Vergleich mit dem ganzfigurigen Bildnis der Erzherzogin Maria Theresia zeigt, das Mengs 1770 für den Madrider Hof gemalt hat, folgt die auf ein Brustbild mit Hand reduzierte Miniatur bis auf den Blumenstrauß in der Hand genau diesem Vorbild."
