Description

A fine memorial by Edward Hurst. Elizabeth Saunderson was the daughter of Sir John Wray, great grandson of Sir Christopher Wray, Lord Chief Justice of England, whose tomb is also in the church. Cherubs under a baldacchino with putti either side.

Elizabeth Saunderson (nee Wray) was daughter of SirJohn Wray who was Great Grandson of Sir Christopher Wray (whose tomb is opposite). She married Hon Nicholas Saunderson and they had one son who predeceased her. She died in 1714 aged 50.
