  • Italiano: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856–1931), "Orfanelli di Messina". Numero di catalogo: G 088 (catalogo di grande formato). Cm 27,2 x 36,4. Il titolo è quello con cui la foto appare nel numero della rivista Varietas del luglio 1910. In realtà la modella di sinistra è identificabile come Maria Intelistano, nipote del parroco di Castelmola, che morì nel 1904, dunque prima del terremoto di Messina. Da questa immagine fu tratta anche una cartolina.

The title is the one given to this image in the magazine Varietas on july 1910. Actually, the girl can be identified as Maria Intelisano, niece of the parish of Castelmola. This image was also made into a postcard.
