English: It's a M3 .45 caliber submachine gun, affectionately called a 'Grease Gun', due to it's resemblance to, well, a grease gun of the less lethal variety.
It was modeled after the British Sten, which is to say it is a VERY simple machine (thus cheap and easy to operate). It's open-bolt with no safety mechanism except for keeping the bolt forward (which also keeps dirt out of the internals). It also has a touchy trigger, and is automatic... I, for one, wouldn't want to be in front of someone fumbling through the dark carrying a M3. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3_submachine_gun" rel="noreferrer nofollow">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3_submachine_gun</a> (This video is from my last trip, but I discovered a spare SD card with some footage on it while prepping for this current one) |
