    • A copyright notice seems present, which reads:
      GOOFY COMICS, published every other month and copyright 1946 by Animated Cartoons, Inc.
    • Animated Cartoons filed a registration entry of the comic book before the cover date.
    • Popular didn’t file a renewal entry of the comic book for the original copyright within a required 28-year period throughout 1973 and 1974.
    • After the failure of copyright renewal, the comic entered the public domain on the first day of January 1975 and is freely available and distributable in both physical and digital formats.
