Here is Columbus circle in New York, where Broadway, Central Park west, 59th street, and 8th avenue pour their motor hordes into the rush hour melting pot. Only strict observance of the traffic signals makes it possible for vehicles to run through intersections. It is one of the most dangerous crossings in the country for pedestrians." |
