Summary

[edit]

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 78002313.

Description The post-2004 entrance to the Governor Hotel, in Portland, Oregon, in 2013; the hotel was renamed the Sentinel Hotel in 2014. This 1923 building facing SW 11th Avenue was originally the Elks Temple, and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places under that name. In the mid-1980s, it became the Princeton Building, and although it became part of the Governor Hotel only a few years later (in 1992), the Princeton name was kept in place on the façade, as can be seen in this photo.
