Summary
[edit]DescriptionGretchen Driskell 2015.jpg |
Women and Gender in Public Policy (WGPP) and the Ford School’s Graduate Career Services office hosted a panel of distinguished women leaders who have served in elected office in Michigan. Panelists shared their experiences and answered audience questions about what drove them to pursue a career in public office, how they ran successful campaigns, and what life looks like as an elected official. Policymakers on the panel included U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell (MI-12), former Michigan Senate Minority Leader Gretchen Whitmer (D-East Lansing), Chairwoman of the U-M Board of Regents Kathy White (D-Ann Arbor); State Representative Gretchen Driskell (D-Saline), and State Representative Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit). The event took place on April 2, 2015 in the Annenberg Auditorium at Joan and Sanford Weill Hall. More: fordschool.umich.edu/events/2015/pathways-politics-women-... |
