Description

Max Grohmann war von 1898 an Direktor der im Jahr 1898 eröffneten Schule in Schönheide im Erzgebirge. Er stiftete eine Sitzbank, die etwas unterhalb des Gipfels des Berges Knock (525,5 Meter) am Fichzigweg aufgestellt wurde. Noch 2017 steht an der ursprünglichen Stelle eine Bank mit der Aufschrift auf der Lehne „Grohmannsbank“.
