Description
English: Light from the setting sun shines on a U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A-140-GR Tomcat (BuNo 162703) from Fighter Squadron 41 (VF-41) "Black Aces" as it flies a Combat Air Patrol during operation "Desert Storm". VF-41 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) for a deployment to the Arabian Sea from 28 December 1990 to 28 June 1991. 162703 was later converted to an F-14B and finally retired to the AMARC as 1K0192 on 3 August 2005.
