[edit]Aficionados — The Pena Taurina (Bullfighting club) of Matamoros will hold its second Bullfight Festival next Sunday June 4 at the Matamoros Bullring. One of the big attractions of the program will be the presentation of Roberto Ramirez, a club member, who will perform as a "rejoneador" fighting the bull on horseback. Ramirez, shown in top photo, will be on "Principe" a horse owned by Pete Gonzalez of Brownsville of the Charro Association. Second picture shows three of the four club members who will act as matadores. They are from left to right; Guillermo Rebollo, Eduardo De Leon and Felix Garcia Moreno. The Pena Taurina is a club of aficionados who hold colorful festivals in which they act as matadores wearing the traditional Andalusian costumes. The bulls were brought to the arena last week from the famous ranch "Las Golonadrinas".

Works copyrighted before 1964 had to have the copyright renewed sometime in the 28th year. If the copyright was not renewed the work is in the public domain. No renewal notice found for this publication for items published in this year. For instance, I can find that the first renewed issue for the New York Times was on April 1, 1928. If you find any contrary evidence notify me, and I will delete this.
