Description
Svenska: Denna hällkista på gränsen mellan de forna socknarna Partille och Lerum, tillika numera församlingar och kommuner, belägen som fornläming nummer 6 i Lerums kommun är en grav från slutet av yngre stenålder (1800-1500 f Kr), i brytningstiden till den äldre bronsåldern. Den har använts av som gravplats för en familj eller en grupp av mänskor. I hällkistor begrovs de döda obrända, det vill säga det är vanligt att hitta mänskliga benbitar. Dock är denna kista delvis förstörd då kistan har öppnats, dess längd visas av vägghällarna och är 8 meter lång och består av en rekatangulär kammare och ett förrum. Kammaren och förrummet skiljs åt av en häll med halvcirkelformad uthuggning, ett så kallat gavelhål. Förrummet täcks nu av en nu spräckt häll. Troligen har hela kistan ursprungligen täckts av stora takblock. Några stora hällar ligger på det röse av stenar som byggt runt kistan. Enligt lokal uppgift har en del hällar bortförts i samband med att Jonsereds kyrka byggdes år 1860.
