English: HMS Aurora, a Leander class frigate, was built by John Brown, Clydebank, and completed in 1964. She was in training at Portland and in the Cod Wars off Iceland. She was then modernised and fitted with the Ikara anti-submarine missile system, and is seen in this guise in the picture. She paid off in 1987 and was scrapped in 1990.
