English: HMS Implacable, a fleet aircraft carrier, was built by Fairfield at Govan, and completed in 1944. Her war service was in Home and Norwegian waters and then the Pacific when she was involved in strikes on Japan. After the war she was placed in reserve until 1949 and then served as Flagship of the Home Fleet, and then as Flagship of the Training Squadron, until 1954. She was sold for scrap in the following year.
