Description
Deutsch: Historischer Gedenkstein an der Westwand der katholischen St. Marien Kirche in Hagen, Hochstraße. König Friedrich Wilhelm III. schenkte zum Bau der klassizistischen Vorgänger-Kirche Sandsteinquader von den eingestürzten Bögen der Herdecker Ruhrbrücke. Hieran erinnert die Inschrift, die, ursprünglich über dem Hauptportal angebracht, nunmehr als einziger Überrest der alten Marienkirche seit 1895 an der westlichen Außenwand des Querschiffes der heutigen Marienkirche erhalten ist.
