Bayou St. John, Mid-City New Orleans. When I passed by this old tree on a recent Thursday afternoon I realized I hadn't taken a picture since the dead half had been cut away post-Isaac. (This is the tree where Persephone got her name.) Lucky thing I took this photo when I did. It was chopped down the very next day. |
