Summary
[edit]DescriptionHanus G Johansen a Faroese Singer and Composer.jpg |
English: Hanus G. Johansen is a folk singer from Klaksvík in the Faroe Islands. He is also a composer and guitar player. He has composed melodies to many of the poems of Poul F. Joensen, who was a Faroese poet from the village Sumba in Suðuroy (he lived most of his life in another village in Suðuroy, Froðba). The poems of Poul F. became well known also by people who normally don't read poems, after Hanus G. Johansen released his first album with poems by Poul F. Joensen, which Hanus composed melodies to and sang with his special voice in his album "Hanus syngur Poul F.". Hanus has also released a CD with poems of a Norwegian poet, Jacob Sande, he sings in Norwegian on the album, he has composed all of the melodies on the album. This photo was taken at the Stóra Pakkhús (The Large Storage House) in Vágur in Suðuroy. He had a solo concert and he performed poems by Poul F. Joensen and by Jacob Sande. The photo was taken on 20 March 2010.
Føroyskt: Hanus G. Johansen syngur og spælir guitar í Stóra Pakkhúsi í Vági á hesi myndini. Hann framførdi sangir, sum hann sjálvur hevði skrivað løg til yvir yrkingar hjá føroyska skaldinum Poul F. Joensen og hjá norska skaldinum Jacob Sande. Myndin er tikin 20. mars 2010. |
