| Description | The entrance to the artillery fort, built from 1941 to 1945, and in operation for the first time in 1943. With the armaments program 1983 it was decided to shut it down, what happened in 1986. On the left there is the transformer station, in the middle the main gate and the staff entrance on the right under the rockfall gallery. This entrance is only 20 m above the valley bottom. Above this point there were about 100 m of rock, which has been mined by the quarry for 20 years. Switzerland, October 18, 2020. (2/27) |
