Description
Deutsch: Ein an den in Gefecht bei Laufach/Frohnhofen gefallenen Hauptmann Kolb vom 2. großherzoglich hessischen Infanterieregiment erinnerndes auf einem Findling montiertes Metallkreuz bei Waldaschaff. Das Kreuz markierte an seinem Originalstandort den Todesort von Hauptmann Kolb. Es stand bis in die 1990er Jahre auf dem Gelände einer Gärtnerei und befindet sich jetzt (2021) direkt außerhalb am Zaun der Gärtnerei (Aschaffenburger Straße 221/Kreisstraße AB4). Die Inschrift auf der Vorderseite lautet: "HIER FIEL HAUPTMANN IG. KOLB V. D. 7 GR. HESS. 2. INFTR. GEB AM 29. MAERZ 1825". Auf der Rückseite steht mit falschem Datum: "IM GEFECHT AM 15. JULY 1866"
