Description |
Plants and herbs have to be prepared before they can be used in medical treatments. Cutting was one way for a pharmacist to begin preparing such material. Other methods include grinding and crushing and boiling. This object was purchased by Captain Johnston-Saint in 1931 on Henry Wellcome’s behalf. Johnston-Saint was one of Wellcome’s leading collecting agents, travelling the world and periodically sending numerous crates of objects back to London. maker: Unknown maker Place made: Middle East Wellcome Images |
