| Description |
English: Herding behavior of black skimmers (Rynchops niger). Location - Edge of small lagoon south of Stern's Warf in Santa Barbara, California, USA. I found the behavior of the Skimmer very interesting. Near the end of the movie, one Skimmer appears to be herding two smaller Skimmers. Female Skimmers are smaller than the male. Perhaps the male is herding 2 females.
In this video, the original material has been stabilised and the audio has been removed. |
