Deutsch: HA-Hohenlimburg, In den Höfen 10. Stolpersteine für Hugo Loewenstein (*01.01.1889), Berta Loewenstein geb. Mond (21.09.1890) und Georg Loewenstein (*21.06.1928). Es fehlt Tochter Anneliese (Anneken) Loewenstein (*28.12.1922), die aber auch mit ihrer Familie Richtung Zamość deportiert wurde. Sohn Werner Loewenstein (*08.12.1922) verzog 1937 nach Obernigk und wanderte später von dort nach England aus. Hugo Loewenstein war Inhaber des Modegeschäfts Schönebaum in der Herrenstraße 14. Die Familie musste Geschäft und Wohnung aufgeben und wurde im sog. Judenhaus (heute Jahnstraße 44) mit den Familien seiner Brüder Otto und Paul Loewenstein zwangseinquartiert. Hugo und Otto Loewenstein nebst Max, dem Sohn von Paul Loewenstein, mussten in dieser Zeit in einem Tiefbau-Unternehmen (Zwangs-) Schwerstarbeit verrichten. Hugo, Berta, Georg und Anneken Loewenstein wurden am 28. April 1942 von dem Platz vor der Synagoge aus deportiert und ermordet. – Die Eltern der Brüder Loewenstein waren der Metzger Jakob Loewenstein und Emma geb. Meyberg. Die Vorfahren der Familien Loewenstein und Meyberg lebten bereits im 18. Jahrhundert in Hohenlimburg. |
