The haunted facades of Avenue de Miremont in Geneva

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Two fauns, a man and a woman on the haunted facades of the buildings at 35 Avenue de Miremont in the Champel part of Geneva, Switzerland, constructed in 1910 and designed by the architects Arthur Boissonnas (1879-1941) and Paul-Eugène Henssler (1878-1954). The relief sculptures of fairy tale images were made by the artist Paul Moullet (1878-1928). It remains mysterious what motivated the owner, a certain Mister Hoelscher, to commission the oger art.
