| Description |
English: The Humboldt Bank Building at 785 Market Street at the corner of 4th Street in the Financial District of San Francisco, California was designed by Meyer & O’Brien for the Humboldt Saving Bank. Construction began in 1905 but was interrupted by the 1906 earthquake and fire. The plans for the building were altered to make it more lavish, and construction began again. The 19-story building was completed in 1908. (Source: "Building History") |
