Summary[edit]

Description

Hymenochaete corrugata (Fr.) Lév.

Image location: Shutesbury, Massachusetts, USA

is what I assume occurred to render this possible. It was very close to a regularly hiked path, so I imagine that perhaps it had human help peeling off? Or, fluctuations in temperature? We’ve had 65 F, then a foot of snow in the last two weeks. Not sure.
