Description
English: A law firm filed a FOIA request in 2021 with the Gwent Police department in Wales of the United Kingdom. The document is a commissioner decision notice about the request by the law firm and the response by the Gwent police after the firm appealed to the commissioner regarding the fact that the police department did not comport with the request.

The commissioner's decision is solely based on the Gwent Police Department's refusal to confirm or deny the existence of the information sought. see Glomar Response. The commissioner decided in 2021 the Gwent police were not required to even confirm the existence of the requested information under section 23(5).
