English: View of Cuba taken during ISS Expedition 8. Lakes in Pinar del Rio province and Artemisa province, west of San Cristóbal (which is off the picture on the right and is in Artemisa province). From left to right: embalse El Patate, embalse Herradura, embalse la Juventud (just north of Paso Quemado), embalse los Palacios (Pinar del Rio province, with the town of Los Palacios further south of that lake), embalse Bacunagua (in Artemisa province), an the tip of the west end of embalse San Julian (Artemisa province).
The north is to the upper right corner. See map on openstreetmap.
