Italiano: Geroglifico per le esequie del Re Filippo IV (morto nel 1665), con tre Soli, situato nel Convento de la Encarnaciòn a Madrid, nell'ambito dell'iconografia astrale della monarchia ispanica. Sopra vi è la scritta in latino di un passo biblico (Ecclesiasticus, 48. 5): «impeditus est sol, et una dies facta est quasi duo» («il Sole si fermò, e un giorno divenne lungo come due»). Sotto un'altra scritta in spagnolo antico: «Nollore eta Monarchia Siimpedido, no apagado Mira al Sol, pues lean que da do Otros dos en solo vir dia» |
