| Description |
Español: Iglesia de San Benito de Gondomar. Este templo de estilo neogótico se construyó en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX sobre los restos de un antiguo templo medieval, a su vez construido en la época de transición entre el románico y el gótico. La parroquia, pertenenciente al Arciprestazgo del Miñor, comprende una superficie de más de 4 Km cuadrados, teniendo la parroquia más de 3.200 habitantes. Junto a la Iglesia, construido en lo alto de una escalinata, se encuentra el Cementerio Municipal. En el interior de la Iglesia, a la izquierda, hay una muy pequeña Capilla de la Reconciliación con un Cristo crucificado que me llamó mucho la atención. Esta Iglesia es el corazón de Gondomar y el centro de una enorme devoción a San Benito en toda la zona. |
