Description

Séc. XV 1443 "Edifício religioso do séc. XVI, adjacente a uma antiga Hospedaria, que viria a ser integrada na Santa Casa da Misericórdia, criada em 1521. Do primitivo templo mantém-se ainda a abóbada polinervurada da capela-mor, sendo o retábulo de talha dourada do primeiro quartel do séc. XVIII, formado por colunas salomónicas revestidas de uvas e parras de simbologia mariana, enobrecido pelo brasão das armas reais; merece ainda destaque a tribuna dos mesários, obra da segunda metade de setecentos. É ainda ornamentada por azulejos, figurados com temas bíblicos das obras da Misericórdia.
