Text Appearing After Image: liii-; lAi;iiir\N ^i i li1ui;e i.f ( Jota i:/I.s, ?.iu ; ii,ai1;i) \;\ \ MohEKN Insi Kirii A SCULPTURED BOULDER 211 The close-fitting upper garment and tunic have no decoration,but a girdle is worn about the waist and a necklace encirclesthe throat, as five rings of the band can be distinctly seen.The left hand holds a bowl; the right hand is extended overa low column that may be a fire-altar, and it holds some objectwhich I could not make out, but which is apparently connectedin some way with the oblation. The legs of the figure are veryfat and are spread apart, as in walking, and they appear to beencased in greaves, or in coverings marked with grooved lines,which make them look like the buckskin leggings of a crick-eter. In appearance the figure looks as if it might possibly beintended to represent a Magian priest, although it would bedifiicult to afiirm this; there is certainly nothing either mili-tary or kingly in the bearing of the sculpture.
