Français : Machine proposée à l'Assemblée nationale pour le supplice des criminelles par M. Guillotin (estampe Musée Carnavalet, 22.9 x 15.3 cm)
English: Early print of an execution by guillotine as proposed by Dr. Guillotin. The sentenced person is kneeling while a priest is blessing him and tending him a cross. The executioner is ready with his sabre to cut the cord. A soldier and some spectators are standing by.
