Title
Incomplete black patinated leaf-shaped (ogival) arrowhead of Neolithic date (4500 BC - 3000 BC).
Description
English: Incomplete dark grey/black patinated leaf-shaped (ogival) arrowhead of Neolithic date (4500 BC - 3000 BC). Length 34mm, width 18mm and 3.2mm thick. Weight 1.91g.

Both faces of the arrowhead have ripples and the curvature of these indicate that the implement has been produced on a fragment of a large flake. The edges of both faces have been flaked and retouched to form its shape and sharpness. all the edges have small modern breaks which reveals that the flint is a whitish colour. The extreme tip is missing. The black patina was probably formed when the arrowhead was situated within a nearby palaeoenvironmental context of organic silt within the inter-tidal zone.
