Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sunflowers in the so called "Sortengarten" connected to the Gärtner- und Häckermuseum in Bamberg. This garden is used to plant rare local varieties of plants, so they do not disappear. It is also used to teach people about plants and different methods of horticulture. Helianthus annuus plants are traditionally part of rural vegetable gardens in the region. Behind the sunflowers you can see the bellfry of the church St. Otto, a church closely connected with the history of horticulture in Bamberg.
