Instruments for examining the ear, 1825
Description

Instruments for examining the ear (acoustic instruments) designed and drawn by Thomas Buchanan, 1825. These are: Figs 1, 2) Auricular probe, made of best tempered silver, handle about four inches in length. Fig 3) Extractor with silver blade to remove ear wax (cerumen). Fig 4) Slender auricular forceps. Fig 5) Extraction forceps to remove polyps in the ear.
