Iron Age sword pommel (bottom)
Description
English: An incomplete post Medieval copper-alloy barrel tap dating from the 18th to mid 19th century. The flaring winged type handle has an arched grip with a small, upturned terminal on each side. The thick, circular-sectioned stem which is broken just below where the two arches meet. The object is 27.9mm long, 68.9mm wide and it weighs 84.1g.
