Title
Iron Age to Early Medieval copper alloy mount
Description
English: Early Medieval? copper alloy mount, 33mm in length, 27mm wide, 13mm thick with a weight of 14.54g.

The object is triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of a domed, hollow openwork body decorated with a raised triskele motif, formed of three interlaced triangles with a central triangular void. This has four circular holes inside, one central and one inside each 'arm'. The surface is quire corroded so it is hard to see if there is any further decoration. Each of its three corners has a semi-circular shaped foot projecting from the main body and each has a linear depression running across it, suggesting some sort of broken fixing mechanism. The object is probably a terminal mount.
